ABOUT THE BE HIVE
The BE Hive is more than a dance organization it is a movement built on discipline, culture, confidence, and excellence. We are committed to shaping not only exceptional performers, but well-rounded individuals who carry strength, purpose, and presence both on and off the stage.
Through a structured approach to training, we combine technique, physical conditioning, and artistic expression with mentorship that develops mindset, character, and leadership. Every dancer who enters The BE Hive is guided through a journey of growth learning the value of consistency, resilience, and self belief.
Our environment is designed to challenge, inspire, and elevate. We create opportunities for real performance experiences that push individuals beyond their limits while building confidence and stage presence at a professional level.

MEET THE FOUNDER & CEO
Alexis Brown is a choreographer, mentor, and visionary committed to building structure, discipline, and opportunity for the next generation.
Her journey is rooted in resilience. Raised in Mississippi, Alexis built her path without shortcuts — earning every opportunity through consistency, work ethic, and an unwavering belief in her purpose. What began as a passion for dance evolved into leadership, mentorship, and program development across multiple levels.
She is a proud graduate of Alcorn State University and an active member of the Alcorn Alumni Association – Washington, DC Chapter, continuing her commitment to community, leadership, and legacy beyond the classroom.
Alexis has trained, coached, and developed dancers ranging from beginners to advanced performers, focusing not only on technical ability, but confidence, presence, and mindset. Her approach is structured, intentional, and results-driven.
She currently serves as a choreographer for the University of the District of Columbia Royal Court, where she creates and directs performance pieces across multiple styles including waltz, hip hop, jazz, and contemporary. She is also a former captain and coach of the Southern Royalettes Majorette Dance Company, where she helped develop competitive performers and strong team culture.
Her experience extends beyond the studio. She has been featured on Bring It, organized and hosted business forums, and created opportunities that pour back into the community — including providing over $1,500 in grant funding to aspiring entrepreneurs.
In addition, Alexis holds the title of Miss Tidewater Collegiate America 2025–2026, using her platform to represent, uplift, and create visibility for young women while expanding her impact in both the arts and her community.
As the founder of The BE Hive Elevation Company, Alexis is building more than dancers. She is building discipline, confidence, and leadership — creating an environment where individuals are pushed to grow, expected to perform, and prepared to lead.
